قام الرئيس المصري عبد الفتاح السيسي بإنزال قواته للحرب ضد معاقل داعش في ليبيا، ليصير بذلك الحاكم العربي الأول الذي يتحدى الإسلاميين في دولة عربية أخرى.
تجسد مبادرته تمدد تهديد الدولة الإسلامية في الشرق الأوسط وجهود التحالف الذي تقوده أمريكا التي لا جدوى منها لاستعادة مكاسب الدولة الإسلامية في العراق وسوريا.
وتقول مصادرنا في واشنطن أن إدارة أوباما خططت لحملة من أجل تحرير الموصل بالعراق من يد احتلال الدولة الإسلامية. وقد اتهم كل من الديمقراطيين والجمهوريين الرئيس بأنه ليس لديه استراتيجية حرب واضحة.
